Beer Metropolis is a craft beer wholesaler and retailer based in sunny Derbyshire.

In May 2012 a boring spreadsheet monkey called Pedro bought a run-down pub in Derby with the intention of offering the best beers available. At the start of the UK Craft Beer boom, the East Midlands appeared to be somewhat of a Craft Beer black hole, so Pedro went on collection runs to small breweries (at the time) such as Kernel, Beavertown, Weird Beard, Summer Wine, Magic Rock, Red Willow etc. Things went well, stock was purchased by the pallet from across the UK, selling on this sort-after beer to other great pubs around the Midlands and Yorkshire.

A move to a new 4000 sq ft premises in 2015 allowed the trade wholesale operation to flourish and was hence branded Beer Metropolis. In early 2018 we created an onsite retail store to showcase our stock, all cold-stored in refrigerators. Pedro is still around, a little older but still into spreadsheets. "Why don't we offer these amazing beers online?" says Pedro.

So here we are! We aren't fancy corporate high-flyers with flashy suits and motors: we are a team of dedicated people whom love beer, brew beer and drink beer!

We have purpose built cold stores for all our stock so that your beer has been kept chilled at 5°C.
